Overview

There are no established measures for the primary prevention of fever of unknown origin however some precautions can decrease the chances of contracting infections that cause FUO These are:

  • Avoidance of contact with infected people
  • Avoidance of unnecessary travel to places where some disease are infectious
  • Proper vaccinations
  • Avoidance of animal contact
  • Avoidance of recreational and unnecessary drugs etc.[1]


Primary Prevention
