interfering RNA

One of the most interesting discoveries in the world of biology is "interfering RNA".
It's not a simple RNA. It is thought to be an old conserved intracellular defensive mechanism against other viral RNA fragments.
These days it's called "siRNA" which stands for short interfering RNA or small interfering RNA.
