Overview

EBUS-NA or endobronchial ultrasound with needle aspiration is a procedure done to stage the mediastinum in lung cancer cases. This technique can be used to take samples of the highest mediastinal, upper and lower paratracheal, subcarinal lymph nodes, and the hilar lymph nodes.[1] New research has also suggested that EBUS-NA combined with EUS-NA can provide complementary and nearly full access to all mediastinal lymph node stations.[1]
