- Diagnosis is mostly clinical but following steps are required to make the diagnosis of Sheehan's syndrome:
- Detailed medical history
- Measurement of pituitary hormone levels in blood
- Pituitary hormone stimulation tests:[1][2]
- Insulin tolerance
- chlorpromazine
- metoclopramide
- Comiphene citrate stimulation tests
- Imaging (MRI preferred on CT)
