For other people like me who are template-challenged it might be useful to explain the syntax...
*{{basketball-reference|id=j/jamesle01|name=LeBron James}}
So just look up the player in question, remove the '.html' and directory information from the url (James' URL is http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.html) and the template will work. --W.marsh 16:30, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
