Other diagnostic tests include tympanometry, audiometry, and upper aerodigestive tract endoscopy.

Other Diagnostic Studies

• Tympanometry - an examination used to test the condition of the middle ear and mobility of the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and the conduction bones by creating variations of air pressure in the ear canal.
• Audiometry - audiogram standard in examination of patients presenting with otalgia. An audiogram can identify even minor hearing loss that the patient may not have even noticed.
• Vestibulocochlear testing
• Nasal endoscopy
• Upper aerodigestive tract endoscopy, laryngoscopy
