Overview
In biology, "polyphagia" is a type of phagy, referring to an animal that feeds on many kinds of food. In medicine, polyphagia (sometimes known as hyperphagia) is a medical sign meaning excessive hunger and abnormally large (poly-) intake of solids by mouth.
