Standards for WikiDoc Page Revision

Goal: The purpose of updating and revising a WikiDoc page is to ensure the page meets search engine-readiness standards. All content must be streamlined to ensure appropriate tagging. The goal is not to delete content. The aim of revision is to retain all information on the WikiDoc page and improve upon it.

Items to Revise:

  • Make sure you include essential page elements.
  • Questions to Consider:
    • Does your content present well? Can it easily be broken down into lists?
    • Have you removed old coding?
    • Does your page have unsourced images?
    • Are there areas you can expand content?
    • I.E. Review Disease Database to see if the symptoms, signs, and related chapters are thoroughly represented.
    • Have you:
      • Checked to see if External Links work?
      • Are actually external versus internal links? (Do you know the difference?)
      • Have been monitored for quality? (Are they legitimate and appropriate?)
      • Checked to see if all of your categories are active?
