Fenproporex (Perphoxene) is a stimulant drug which is used as an appetite suppressant. It is an amphetamine derivative which was developed in the 1960s and used for the treatment of obesity.^[1]

Fenproporex produces amphetamine as a metabolite,^[2]^[3] and was withdrawn in many countries following problems with abuse,^[4] but it is still prescribed in some countries mainly in South America.
